2025 Greensboro Futures

Night three of Greensboro Futures saw some fast performances, particularly by the age group girls.

The very first event of the session, the women’s 50 back, had the most fireworks. First, 2026 UVA-bound Alyssa Sagle won the event in 28.35, marking nearly a second personal best for the future Cavalier. This would have gotten the 17-year-old into the B final at U.S. Nationals, where her previous 29.11 best came from. Sagle currently competes with NCAP.

Just as interesting as first place was 14-year-old Julia Bak touching in 29.23 for second. This rockets Bak to the #1 spot in her age group this season by over half a second. Bak, who swims for QNS, dropped a second and a half from her 30.76 best she registered last summer.

Two 15-year-old girls cracked a minute in the 100 fly for the first time. Emma Richardson of MAC won the event, stopping the clock in 59.64. Touching behind Richardson was TAC star Reina Liu, hitting 59.86 for second.

One of the most impressive performances on the men’s side came from Virginia Tech Hokie Eli Martin in the 200 breaststroke.

The men’s 100 fly was as close as a race can be. Rian Graham, who just capped off his freshman year at Louisville, beat out Zach Redding for the top spot 53.32 to 53.33. Graham shaved .02 off the 53.34 best he posted at U.S. Nationals this year.

Other Day 3 Wins

  • For a third day in a row, Kentucky Wildcat men posted two wins. Devin Naoroz picked up his second win of the meet in the 50 back, logging a new personal best of 25.77. Later in the session, Levi Sandidge continued his dominance of the distance events by touching first in the 400 free. In the process, he lowered his PB from 3:55.72 to 3:53.81.
  • Audrey Derivaux hit her second fastest 400 free time ever, 4:12.78, en route to a four second victory
  • Kaidy Stout stood as the lone sub-2:30 athlete in the women’s 200 breaststroke. On home turf, the 16-year-old GSA Swimmer stopped the clock in 2:29.39
  • The NCAP boys and TAC Titans girls continued their undefeated relay streaks in the 400 free relay today. The TAC women blasted a 3:45.63 to win by seven seconds. The NCAP boys, meanwhile, put together a 3:25.08
