Kiri Harvey Knows It’s a Big Thing to Win CIF Division 4 Championship

Anne Lepesant took a minute to talk to Kiri Harvey from Cerritos High School about her performances at the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Championships this weekend.

Harvey, who is just a sophomore, won the 200 IM title in 2:06.29, more than a two-and-a-half second margin, and followed it with a 5:04.64 victory in the 500 free. Both of those were lifetime bests for her. Perhaps most importantly, though, she anchored Cerritos’ 400 free relay in 52.67 as they rolled to an event win that they absolutely had to have to hold of Orcutt Academy for the overall Division 4 title.

This is a young Cerritos team, and they’ll be back and better next year.
