Kelly Kremer Pleased With Minnesota’s Attitude on Day 3 of B1G Champs

The Minnesota Golden Gophers sit in 3rd place after 3 days of the 2016 Big Ten Swimming & Diving Championships, and while that’s not a familiar standing for them after having won the conference in each of the last four years, head coach Kelly Kremer says that he still loves his team’s attitude.

“Ya know, performance to performance, we’ve asked them to keep their emotions in check and take it one performance at a time, and they’ve done that, from start to finish, and when performances haven’t gone the way people wanted, they’ve brushed them off, kept the attitude exactly where we would want it, and kept the attitude up,” Kremer said.

Minnesota’s 3rd day of competition included a second-straight win on the 3-meter for diver Yu Zhou; a personal best for Danielle Nack in the 100 fly (52.54), and Lauren Votava being selected as Minnesota’s 2016 Big Ten Conference Sportsmanship Honoreee.
