Katinka Hosszu World Championships Predictions: Gold Medal Minute presented by SwimOutlet.com

Gold Medal Minute presented by SwimOutlet.com

Katinka Hosszu is redefining what it means to be great in swimming. Her monstrous schedule, medal count and prize earnings make her the number one pro swimmer on earth. No one is managing their pro swimming career like the Iron Lady. The question is…can she do it at the big show?  Since her disappointing performance at the 2012 Olympic Games, all indications are she can.  I’m very bullish on Katinka’s chances to medal in many events at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, and I think she’ll swim even faster, medaling more, at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

2015 World Championships Predictions:

The Iron Lady swims eight events.

Katinka wins 200 IM.

Katinka scares Missy Franklin in the 200 backstroke, almost breaking her winning streak.

And Katinka wins 4 more medals of some color.

I have seen her race the 2 day world cup events and she is just an amazing athlete. To be able to swim SCM and then LCM and have great success in both is a great achievement. I will be cheering for her regardless of the out come…..400/200 IM is pretty solid for the gold. Other events ?????

So it will be 7 events. 200-400 IM, 100-200 free, 100-200 back, 200 butterfly.

Crazy schedule as always 🙂 Go Katinka..go…

I think katinka gets a world record in 200 IM and breaks the 2:06 barrier, 200 back she beats missy for the win, and 400 IM is a win too. I think she’ll get 5-6 medals in the meet.

Great video Mel I absolutely love your videos and the time and quality you put into them. Your videos are always worth the wait. I think Hosszu will swim the IM’s (gold in both) and 200 fly (silver) and 200 free (bronze). Also is it possible to have a GMM vid of seliskar since Reese Whitley and Michael Andrew had their fair share I think seliskar deserves it.

MEL! I’m disappointed in you! You didn’t give us predictions about which races Katinka will swim! 🙁

By the way, Happy Emoji Day! 🙂

Missy is a lock for 200back gold, but Hosszu will be the number one contender for silver, together with Seebohm and Ustinova being thereabouts ; O’Connor will be a tough competitor in the 200IM, but judging on what she’s done in the past, Hosszu will be a medal contender in every final she swims, she hasn’t shared her schedule as yet, for all we know she’ll drop 200fly
