Kathryn Rowe Adds Two Wins On Day 2 of Buffalo Sectionals

Day two of the Buffalo Speedo Sectional featured the 200 freestyle, the 100 meter butterfly, and the women’s 400 IM. Click here to read the recap from night one. 

Jessica Hespeler won the women’s 200 freestyle with a time of 2:02.92, finishing just ahead of Caitlyn Karr at 2:03.48. David Sweeney picked up his first win of the meet after finishing third in the 100 freestyle last night. He won the men’s 200 freestyle with his time of 1:53.14. Jack Boyd reached in for second at 1:54.24.

Kathryn Rowe added more hardware to her collection tonight with a winning time of 1:01.91 in the 100 butterfly. She won the 200 IM last night. Kristen Murslack finished second in the women’s 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.95.

Kyle Higgins had the fastest time of the day in the men’s 100 butterfly by more than a second with his winning time of 54.35. Kazumu Takabayashi was second with a 55.36.

Kathryn Rowe wasn’t satisfied with just one event on night two, she doubled up on her events, winning the 400 IM with a time of 4:55.88. Kathryn Painter finished second with a 4:47.47. The final individual event of the day was won by Tyler Prescott at 4:33.77. Casey Storch finished second at 4:37.49.
