Location: 130 King of Prussia Road, Radnor Township, PA, USA
Radnor Aquatic Club is searching for a co-lead coach for our Bronze group, which consists of pre-senior swimmers (12-15) on our Varsity team. The training goals of this group include stroke efficiency, building endurance and developing a race strategy. In addition to planning and leading practices, a lead coach for this group will need to work with swimmers to develop appropriate season goals and event selection. RAC competes as a member of the Suburban Aquatic League and USA Swimming. You can read more about our Varsity Program here. This role is meant to be year round, and attending USA meets throughout the year is expected.
Job Requirements:
- 6-8 hours per week on deck coaching our Bronze group, and other groups as assigned
- 6-8 hours per month on team administration, including but not limited to:
- Meeting with other coaches to develop and align season plan
- Communication with families
- Assist with team initiatives and social media
- Goal meetings with swimmers at the beginning of the season
- Attend USA and SAL Dual meets as needed throughout the season
- Previous swim coaching experience is required
- Must acquire & maintain USA Swimming Coach Certifications/Credentials
Qualities of a Successful Candidate
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Skilled with providing technical feedback, including use of video review
- Successful at motivating and connecting with middle school-aged swimmers
Compensation
Pay is commensurate with experience, with the potential for growth based on the success of the group. All required clearances and certifications for employment are reimbursable.
