Masters Swim Coach in NYC – evenings and weekends

Applications due 08/01/26

Job Description:

Date posted: June 22, 2026

Location: 199 Chambers Street, New York, NY, USA

Team New York Aquatics (TNYA) is New York City’s largest masters swim team and the largest LGBTQ+-inclusive swim club in the United States.

We are looking for energetic, experienced coaches to lead adult swim practices for masters swimmers on a weekly basis at our Borough of Manhattan Community College (Tribeca) location on Sundays at 1pm-1.30pm, Mondays 7pm-8.30pm, and Wednesdays 7pm-8.30pm.

TNYA is more than a swim team — it’s a community. Our athletes range from first-time adult swimmers to nationally competitive masters athletes, creating a unique environment where personal growth, inclusion, and performance all have a place. If you enjoy coaching adults, building community, and helping swimmers achieve their goals, you’ll fit right in.

Coaches are paid $30 hourly (plus one free TNYA practice per practice coached) and will be scheduled to coach one practice a week, with time to be mutually agreed between coach and TNYA.

In addition to these listed permanent appointments, we have a substitute coach pool for those who prefer to coach occasional practices, or whose availability does not align with the above timeslots. Our current practice schedule can be found at www.tnya.org/schedule.

Applications must be sent to [email protected] by August 1, 2026. Appointments will be made on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
