Position Title: Head Age Group Coach + Aquatics Director
Reporting to: Head Coach and Club General Manager
Pay Range: $50-70K

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain relationships and collaborative communication with swimmers and parents
• Plan/run daily Silver (11-12) and Copper Team (8&U) practices in a direction that supports the coaching philosophy and direction of the program as established by the Head Coach.
• Mentor and develop other Age Group coaches.
• Manage Private Lesson Instructor and Masters Swim program
• Offer individual meetings with interested swimmers at the 11-12 level.
• Assist and observe other training groups as needed.
• Send updates to Age Group Teams at least monthly, to keep families informed and engaged with team happening, calendars, practice changes, meets, etc.
• With the guidance of the Head Coach, oversee development and progression of the Age Group Program using the ADM.
• Coach Age Group Athletes at all meets, including handling or delegating meet entries and communications for meets with the age group program.
• Maintain respectful communications and regular meetings with the Head Coach to outline development progressions, practice sessions, meet schedules, and to discuss challenges and opportunities within the program. These meetings should also ensure that the management of the group and program remains unified within the Head Coach’s vision and team values.
• Drive team spirit by planning and executing team building activities through collaboration with parents and coaching staff.
• Cultivate a positive team atmosphere and build trusting relationships with other staff team members.
• Complete all admin tasks such as payroll, expense reports, in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Coaching Experience at the Age Group and / or Senior Level
• All certifications current and in good standing with USA Swimming
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Self-reflective, takes accountability, and pursues personal growth
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Solid knowledge of stroke technique and training physiology
• Passion and enthusiasm for competitive swimming and youth/coach mentoring
