Full Time Lead Coach Dad’s Club Swim Team

Candidate should have a strong understanding of stroke technique, age group swimmer development, and ability to inspire athletes. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills who can effectively collaborate with coaches, athletes and families.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of competitive swim coaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of swimmer development and stroke technique
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, energetic, and dependable
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work collaboratively as both a lead coach and supportive team member
  • Experience with Active Network, Meet Manager, and/or Hy-Tek software is preferred but not required

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist assigned training groups during practices and swim meets
  • Primarily coach swimmers 6-10 years old
  • Develop and implement seasonal training plans appropriate for age-group athletes
  • Provide clear, constructive, and high-quality feedback to swimmers during practices and swim meets to support skill development and performance improvement
  • Prepare and manage swim meet entries
  • Attend coaching staff meetings and other relevant team meetings
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and development-focused team culture
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Attend an average of 1–2 swim meets per month
  • Participation in additional team functions, including fundraisers, banquets, community events, and other club activities, as required
