Aiken-Augusta Swim League is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time assistant coach position, working with our Senior and Junior squads. ASL is looking for coaches who enjoy helping young athletes find their love for swimming, fostering a TEAM environment and working with the larger swim community as a whole. For the second straight fall, we have over 100 new athletes to the program, and are looking to grow the staff along with the athletes!
POSITION: Full time, reporting to the Program Director / Head Coach, working approximately 20-25 hours per week on deck, along with 10-15 hours of administrative duties, and one to two swim meets per month. Looking for a start date of September 6th, and the position will remain open until filled.
COACHING ROLE: This role will assist the Head Coach in the daily coaching of the Senior squad and be the lead coach of a Junior group. It is expected that the person in this role will work well in a TEAM environment, and communicate effectively with athletes and parents. This position will attend all Senior and Junior training sessions and competitions. They will also assist in the design and implementation of a season plan, in conjunction with the Program Director, to give the Junior squad athletes the best opportunities for growth in swimming. Some Team Unify administrative work- meet entries, meet billing, etc will be part of the duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: 2-3 years of coaching experience required, competitive swimming experience, ability to meet all USA Swimming coaching certifications and requirements.
