We are thrilled to announce we are expanding the Upper Valley Aquatic Club to a third site location in Claremont, NH! The Claremont Savings Bank Community Center is home to an 8-lane 25 yard pool complete with a full Colorado timing system and scoreboard, diving blocks, dryland facilities and equipment, and a separate 15×10 yard warm water teaching pool.

Job Summary: The Assistant Site Director supports the Site Director in growing the youth swim team, the youth lessons groups, and private lesson program. The Assistant Site Director will lead one or more swim team training groups and assist in the training and direction of all swim instructors and coaches to ensure a high rate of retention.

Pay Range: Min $18 Mid $21.50 Max $25

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist Site Director to market and manage swim team programs and various child swim programs.
Supervise and schedule site staff in accordance with the UVAC swim team and swim school programs.
Attend swim meets as assigned by Site Director, including home (Claremont) and away meets across New England.
Coach practices on deck 3-5 days per week.
Respond in a timely manner to inquiries and requests from staff, parents, and swim lesson participants, including administration of student evaluations to place them in the appropriate class/session.
Be available to coach all scheduled group lessons and swim team practices in the event of an unfilled absence of another instructor.
Support and manage the online swim lesson registration process and ensure accurate and timely collection of all lesson fees.
Back up for payroll processing for all CSBCC staff.
Perform any other reasonably related task as assigned by CSBCC Site Director.

Position Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:

Quick thinker that respond to situations in a calm manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Adept at learning new software. Use of swim team and swim school reservation and scheduling systems.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and train staff
Organized and strong multi-tasker.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in competitive swim coaching (club, college, or high school level) and/or swim lesson instruction.
1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
ASCA I or II certification, preferred.
Red Cross CPR/First Aid/ AED certifications up to date (by start date)
USA Swimming coaching requirements up to date (by start date)

Physical and Schedule Requirements:

Occasional lifting up to 30lbs
Participate in UVAC special events and open house to help grow the programs in the community.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Flexible schedule to include days/evenings/weekends.
Outside of administrative hours and deck time, the ASD will teach swim lessons or classes (hourly rates outside of salary)
