Coaches Wanted- LCST (Hartland, WI)
The Lake Country Swim Team is in need of additional coaches. We are a non-profit youth swim team with a rich tradition both in our local community and within the state of Wisconsin. We are based out of Arrowhead High School in Hartland, WI, where we maintain a permanent office. We are in need of a coach (or two) to help with our age group program and to help coordinate our summer lessons programs. These roles are likely to be filled by separate candidates, but the right candidate could combine these roles if their availability allows.
LESSONS SUPERVISOR
The Lessons Supervisor will work closely with the Lessons Director, but should be available Monday thru Thursday to work both the daytime and evening shifts. This is a seasonal position and you will need to be available from early June through early August. The Lessons Supervisor does not need to be a coach, but should be familiar with the sport of swimming and familiar with aquatic safety basics and should be comfortable interacting with teachers, students and especially parents. Approximate shifts are 10:00 am -1:30 pm and 5:30-8:00 pm (it’s possible that the evening shift may change, 4:30-7:00 pm.)The Lessons Supervisor will work 20-30 hours per week and is on deck during swim lessons ensuring that classes start and end on time and that swimmers are in the correct class and level. The Lessons Supervisor will conduct placement evaluations as needed while ensuring that the pool and pool deck are maintained in a safe and orderly manner during lessons. They will ensure adequate and appropriate staffing for each swim session and provide supervision of the instructors.

AGE GROUP ASSISTANT COACH
The Age Group Assistant Coach will assist with several of our age group team practice groups and will work primarily with swimmers ages 7-12 years old. The hours for this position could range anywhere from 6 – 15 hours per week and most practices are scheduled between 5:00-8:00 PM. This position is appropriate for either an experienced swim coach, or a person with a competitive swimming background who is interested in learning from some of our more experienced coaches. This role could lead to further opportunities on our coaching staff including becoming the lead coach for one of age group practice groups. You will need to possess a USA Swimming coaching credential or be willing to attain one rapidly by taking the necessary courses and attaining required certifications in CPR/AED, Athlete Protection, Concussions, etc.
Compensation for both of these positions is competitive and commensurate with the candidates experience and qualifications.
