She’ll be joined by teammate Suzuka Hasegawa in the shorter fly event, while Hasegawa will also be competing in her stronger 200m fly distance.
As for the men, 20-year-old Shoma Sato is a marquis athlete on which to keep an eye. The Keio University standout will be racing his pet breaststroke events this week.
200m fly silver medalist from this summer’s Olympic Games, Tomoru Honda, is also expected to bring the heat, taking on his signature event in addition to the 400m IM.
