With a first-place finish in the 3-Meter Springboard this past weekend at Incarnate Word, Micaela Bouter earns American Diver of the Week honors.
The senior closed out competition at the dual with both a first and second-place finish in the 3-Meter and 1-Meter springboard, respectively. Bouter tallied up 328.25 points in the 3-Meter and 281.55 points in the 1-Meter, helping Houston top Incarnate Word in its season opener.
This is the ninth weekly award of Bouter’s career, and her first of this season.
“I am very excited for Micaela to receive this award,” said Houston Diving Coach Bob Gunter. “Her performance for this early in the season was very pleasing and well earned. She continues to push herself to improve and has set high goals for the remainder of the season.”
