Harvard Women Load Up on Divers in New Class of 2018

Stephanie Wriede Morawski, The Costin Family Head Coach for Harvard Women’s Swimming and Diving, has announced the addition of eight incoming freshmen for the 2014-15 season: Hannah Allchurch, Geordie Enoch, Katie Evans, Regan Kology, Jing Leung, Kristina Li, Alisha Mah and Gabby Sims.

Three of the eight are divers, an interesting strategy considering that Harvard already outscored their Ivy opponents by a large margin at Ivy League Championships last year in both diving events. Their five diving entrants accounted for a total of seven of the 16 spots in the two A finals; only one graduated, while two were freshmen and two were juniors.

The Crimson addressed some of their relatively weaker-scoring events by bringing in several strong breaststrokers and IMers, in addition to adding to their well-established back, fly and distance free groups.
