GCAT’s Devin Horan Commits to NAIA Powerhouse, Brenau Golden Tigers

Savannah, Georgia-native Devin Horan has committed to swim for the Brenau University Golden Tigers in 2015-16. Horan is a senior at the Savannah Arts Academy, whom she represented at the 2014 GHSA 1-5A State Swimming & Diving Meet by leading off SAA’s medley relay, and by competing in the 100 fly and 100 back, individually. Horan is also the senior class president, and a member of the National Honors Society, Thespian Society and Spanish Honor Society.

Horan trains year-round with Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team. She has been a Georgia Senior State Qualifier from 2012-2014 and her top times are:

“Devin has such a wonderful energy and outgoing personality, we knew she would be a great fit at Brenau,” said Brenau head coach Blaire Bachman. “She is a goal-oriented athlete and she will excel as a student-athlete. We see her immediately impacting our backstroke and butterfly groups next season and we can’t wait to have her on campus as a Golden Tiger!”

When asked why she chose Brenau, Horan responded saying, “Obviously the academics, but I loved the family atmosphere I encountered at Brenau. We’re like a big sisterhood!”
