Danielle Taylor of Walnut Creek Aquabears and Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, California, has made a verbal commitment to the University of San Diego Toreros for the 2015-16 season.
Taylor placed fifth in the 100 fly and won the consolation final of the 200 free at the 2014 CIF-North Coast Section Championships; she also led off Dougherty Valley’s 200 and 400 free relays. Taylor’s best times are:

Taylor will be a huge asset to the Toreros; all three of her freestyle times would have made “B” finals at the 2014 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference meet, while her 100 fly would have put her in the “A” final. In a conference where only 38 points separated 5th, 6th, and 7th places, all those points –and stronger relay finishes– could propel the Toreros upward in the standings over the next several years.
