Eastern Michigan University to host EMU Invitational Dec 5-6

Eastern Michigan University’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are set to host the EMU Invitational, Dec. 5-6, inside the friendly confines of Jones Natatorium.

The annual meet will mark the final competition of the 2014 calendar year for the Green and White, and will feature Mid-American Conference foes Ball State and Bowling Green, as well as Oakland, Olivet Nazarene, and Wayne State. Friday’s action will begin with diving at 11:30 a.m. followed by a handful of heats for the 1650 free, and the primary swimming events starting at 6 p.m. Other events for the day include: 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and the 400 free relay. On Saturday, the day will start out at 10 a.m. with the 200 medley relay, followed by the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, and 800 free relay with the diving session immediately after. Action will resume with the final session at 6 p.m. with the 200 free relay, 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, and 400 medley relay.
