David Floyd Joins Staff at Arena North America’s Portland Headquarters

Arena North America is proud to announce the hiring of David Floyd as Director of Operations for the Portland-based swimwear brand. Floyd joins Arena from The Clymb, where he served as Director of Operations before transitioning to Director of Finance, Planning and Analysis.

In his new role, Floyd will oversee planning and forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, supply chain and customer service, among other areas.

“David brings an impressive understanding of the specialty brand, and will provide strong guidance to our supply chain team, especially at this time of rapid growth for our brand in the U.S. market,” said Tim McCool, Vice President and GM of Arena North America. “We continue to strive to provide the ultimate product line and the best delivery system in the business, and to be able to add someone of David’s talent speaks strongly to that commitment.”

Prior to joining Arena, Floyd spent two years with the Clymb where he was instrumental in negotiating the Clymb’s shipping contracts. Floyd also served as Senior Marketing Analysis Manager for Sport Style for adidas America and was the Global Production Manager for Portland-based Bonfire Snowboarding Apparel. Additionally, Floyd spent five years as Hardgoods Planning Manager and Senior Financial Analyst for Salomon Sports where he led the Salomon planning team that sparked a “worst to first” turn around in hard goods deliveries.
