ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women’s swimming and diving team defeated the Le Moyne Dolphins, 203–91, in a two-day dual meet held Friday and Saturday at Teagle Pool.
The Big Red opened the meet on the boards, led by Lilla Kuziemko, who won the 1-meter diving event with a finals score of 257.93 before adding a victory on the 3-meter with a finals score of 296.18. Julia Wilkinson placed second on the 1-meter ( finals – 239.63), while Morgan Ogata finished second on the 3-meter with a finals score of 286.35.
Cornell began the swimming events with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, as the A relay of Aly Yokoyama, Audrey Holden, Sadye Derstadt, and Kate Li touched in 1:42.99. Cornell’s B relay followed in second at 1:46.06. In distance freestyle action, Erin DeHollander won the 1650-yard freestyle in 17:06.45, while Natalia Strezenicky placed second in 17:34.96. Cornell also controlled the 200-yard freestyle, with Oceane Vanlinthout winning in 1:53.10, followed by Kyleigh Tangen (1:55.37) and Katie Ferreira (1:56.69).
In the backstroke events, Kate Li captured first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.01, while Jungmin Yoon finished second in 57.53. Ming Xu added a win in the 50-yard backstroke, touching in 25.25. Cornell swept the breaststroke events. Rosalee Springer won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.24, followed by Quinn Rinkus in 1:06.22. Hojung Yoon claimed first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 30.15.
Isabel Peng won the 50-yard butterfly in 25.29 and the 100-yard butterfly in 55.20. Jasmine Xu captured first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.29, while Arina Vorobyeva won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.38. In the 500-yard freestyle, Ferreira finished first with a time of 5:08.77, followed by Katherine Yee in 5:13.05.
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men’s swimming and diving team earned a 201-91 victory over the Le Moyne Dolphins in a two-day dual meet held Friday and Saturday at Teagle Pool. With the victory, Cornell concludes the regular season above .500 for the second consecutive year.
The Big Red dominated the diving events, sweeping the top three places on both boards. On the 1-meter, Max Reis-Trovillion scored 330.68, followed by William Klingensmith (325.05) and Peter Buskirk (300.90). Klingensmith led the 3-meter with a score of 323.40, with Trovillion close behind at 322.13 and Buskirk finishing third at 279.90.
Cornell opened the swimming events with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, as the A relay of Michael Wywrocki, Mac Marsh, Gabe Anagnoson, and Thai Koehnle touched in 1:30.80. The B relay followed in second at 1:33.30. In the distance freestyle, Julian Correa won the 1650-yard freestyle in 15:52.06, while Owen Dankert finished second in 16:14.51 and Duke Garvin placed third in 16:15.06. Will Chen captured first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:50.15.
Cornell picked up multiple wins across the pool. Andrew Lin won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:40.10, followed by Thai Koehnle in 1:42.93. Michael Wywrocki claimed first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.80, and Gabe Anagnoson won the 50-yard backstroke in 23.93. In breaststroke action, Daniel Simoes won the 100-yard breaststroke in 56.16, while Mac Marsh captured first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 25.09.
Cornell swept the butterfly events as well, with Josh Toothman winning the 50-yard butterfly in 23.04 and Michael Wywrocki taking first in the 100-yard butterfly in 48.70. In sprint freestyle events, Mac Marsh won the 50-yard freestyle in 20.72, while Jacques Grove captured first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 45.32.
The meet concluded with the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Cornell’s A relay of Andrew Lin, Mac Marsh, Jacques Grove, and Daniel Simoes touched first in 3:03.51.

Ithaca, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams traveled to Cornell to face off against the Big Red in a pair of dual meets on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The men’s team fell, 201-91, while the women’s squad dropped their meet, 203-91.
Women’s Squad:
Sophomore Gabby Williams (Scotia, N.Y. / Scotia-Glenville) earned third place in the one-meter dive, scoring 227.55 points.
Freshman Shea Gillespie (Oro Medonte, Ontario / St. Joseph’s) finished with a final time of 18:29.24 in the 1650-yd freestyle, placing her third in the event.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Thompson (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) registered a third-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 1:01.49.
Junior Kayleigh Bigwarfe (Glenmont, N.Y. / Bethlehem) earned third place in the 50-yard and 500-yard freestyle events, coming in at the 24.99 and 5:30.35 marks, respectively.
Freshman Sophia Stinnett (Hillsborough, N.C. / Cedar Ridge) placed third in the 50-yard backstroke with a final time of 28.78.
Junior Madeleine O’Dea (Milton, O.N. / Milton District) worked to a second-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke, wrapping up with a final time of 30.30.
Senior Brooke Sommo (Guilderland, N.Y. / Guilderland) placed third in the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 1:00.86.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Shannon Swezey (Bayport, N.Y. / Bayport-Blue Point), junior Sophie Silaika (Rexford, N.Y. / Shenendehowa / Fordham), junior Lucy Catalano (Glenville, N.Y. / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), and Bigwarfe took first place in the event with a final time of 3:41.90.
Men’s Team:
Freshman Owen Daniels (Rhinebeck, N.Y. / Redhook) earned third place in the 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 1:46.43. He added a second-place finish in the 500-yard version of the event with a final time of 4:55.17.
Junior Justin Enser (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton) came in at the 52.71 mark in the 100-yard backstroke, earning him third place.
Freshman Neil Adamski (Manlius, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius) placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 56.19.
Sophomore Alexander Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N. / John McCrae) earned second place in the 50-yard butterfly with a final time of 23.28.
Sophomore Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) took third place in the 50-yard freestyle, coming in at the 21.49 mark. Clay registered a second-place finish in the 100-yard IM with a final time of 51.51.
Freshman John Mummery (New Windsor, N.Y. / Newburgh) placed third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.95.
Daniels and Enser placed second and third in the 50-yard backstroke with final times of 24.23 and 24.43, respectively.
Adamski and freshman Connor Wightman (Manassas, Va. / Saint Paul VI) earned second and third-place finishes in the 50-yard breaststroke, coming in at the 26.20 and 27.36 marks.
Sophomore Michael White Jr. (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) took second place in the 100-yard butterfly event, coming in with a final time of 51.68.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Pilieci, freshman Max Strohecker (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. / The King’s Academy), sophomore Jacob Griffin (Cicero, N.Y. / Cicero-North Syracuse), and Mummery finished out the meet with a final time of 3:15.55 in the event, placing them second.
What’s Next:
The Dolphins will head to Geneva, O.H. to compete in the NEC Championships from Tuesday-Friday, Feb. 17-20 at the Spire Institute.
