Colorado School of Mines Me Apna Diving Program Restart Kiya

Colorado School of Mines ne iss season men’s aur women’s diving ko Division II program ke liye restart kiya hai.

Orediggers ne already apne new divers ko enroll kar chuke hain — Bruno Albertoni aur Gabi Batol compete kar rahe hain. Eligibility ke terms me dono freshmen hain, lekin Batol apne school ke 2nd year me hain. Katherine Andrie coach hain. Yeh dono divers Mines ke liye “last ak decade se bhi jada time” me first divers hain.

Colorado School of Mines ke Director of Athletics David Hansburg ne press release me kaha “Itne rich history wale program ko wapas lana ak bahot hi special opportunity hai,” Unhone aage kaha, “Divers ko dobara Oredigger uniform me dekhna conference aur national recognition ke liye extra opportunities create karta hai, overall Mines experience ko enhance karta hai, aur NCAA Division II ke best departments me se ak ko aur strong banata hai.”

Mines ne ab tak 12 diving All-Americans produce kiye hain, jisme 1981 NCAA champion Rick Williamson bhi shamil hain, jo 1-meter aur 3-meter events me champion rahe. Williamson, former diving coach Bob McCandless, aur 1983 women’s swimming & diving team ke saath 1981-84 men’s swimming & diving teams sabhi school ke athletics hall of fame me hain.

Albertoni ne Highlands Ranch High aur Mile High Dive Club ke liye compete kiya, aur 2021-24 tak USA Junior Nationals me diving ki. Batol ne Hawaii Preparatory Academy, Waimea me compete kiya, jahan unhone Big Island Interscholastic Federation Championships me gold jeeta aur state me fourth position hasil ki.

Andrie ka school ke saath long history hai, unke do bachche Mines me padh chuke hain (Marty Andrie nine-time cross country aur track All-American rahe, jinhone Orediggers ko 2015 NCAA Division II cross country title jeetne me madad ki). Katherine Andrie ne Denver area ke multiple high schools me coach kiya hai, jisme Valor Christian, Littleton, Smoky Hill aur Douglas County shamil hain.

Andrie ne kaha, “Mujhe honor feel ho raha hai ki mujhe Mines me diving program re-launch karne ke liye choose kiya gaya.” “Orediggers hamesha se Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference me apni excellence ki reputation ke liye jaane jaate hain, aur diving ka wapas aana ak talented coaches aur student-athletes ke pool ko aur strong karega. Wo ak excellent diving coach hain aur Mines aur diving ke liye unka passion aur excitement truly inspiring hai.
