Big Weekend of Swimming for Buckeyes
It will be another busy weekend for Ohio State swimming and diving as four visiting schools are set to take on the Buckeyes over the course of Friday and Saturday.
Indiana Swim & Dive Faces Louisville in Final Dual Meet of the Season
The Indiana men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will make the short drive south to face the Louisville Cardinals in a dual meet on Friday afternoon. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the Ralph Wright Natatorium in Louisville, Kentucky.
Pieroni, Amaltdinov Named Big Ten Swimmers of the Week
Indiana’s Blake Pieroni and Purdue’s Marat Amaltdinov were named Big Ten co-swimmers of the week. Pieroni won the 200 free in 1:36.54 to lead Indiana to a win over Purdue. Amaltdinov won the 200 breast at that meet in 1:59.68.
Purdue’s Kaersten Meitz Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week
Purdue’s Kaersten Meitz was named Big Ten swimmer of the week after her performance in their dual meet against Indiana. Meitz won the 1,000 free (9:44.58) and 500 free (4:46.62) in that meet.
Michigan Water Polo Splits With Top 10 Foes
The No. 12 University of Michigan water polo team finished its opening weekend with a 3-2 record at the UCSB Invitational in Santa Barbara, Calif. after splitting two matches against top 10 teams on Sunday (Jan. 24).

Indiana’s Lilly King and Michigan’s Clara Smiddy were named Big Ten co-swimmers of the week. King won the 100 breast (1:00.91) and 200 breast (2:11.97) in a quad meet with Michigan, Duke, and Georgia Tech.

Big Ten swimmer of the week went to Michigan’s Dylan Bosch after he won the 100 fly (48.04) and 200 fly (1:44.91) against Duke, Georgia Tech, and Indiana in a quad meet.
IU Swim & Dive Hosts Purdue on Saturday on Senior Day
