It is a busy week once again in college swimming. In addition, the second stop of the World Cup will take place in Westmont, Illinois.
Highlighting the meet schedule this week is the Dual Meet Tournament at Georgia Tech. Georgia, George Washington, Auburn, and Minnesota will be in Wave 1 on Friday while Georgia Tech, NC State, Florida State, and Army will be in Wave II. Saturday features the consolation finals, the 3rd place meet, and the championship meet. Olympic medalist Nic Fink will do a meet and greet both Friday and Saturday, allowing fans to get an autograph as well.
Georgia Tech is notably home to the NCAA Championships on both the men’s and women’s sides at the end of the season, so the seven visiting teams will have a chance to get some races and adjust to the pool before the end of the season. The NC State women are ranked #7, Georgia is #14, Minnesota #23, and Auburn #24 in SwimSwam’s Early Season Power Rankings.
