Cam McEvoy Responds To Enhanced Games World Record With Memes “Seriously?! Thats All You Got!”

World Record holder Cam McEvoy took to his Instagram story after the Enhanced Games last night, posting a few memes.

McEvoy is the World Record holder in the 50 freestyle after swimming a 20.88 in March at the 2026 China Open. That broke the previous record of a 20.91 set by Cesar Cielo during the supersuit era in 2009. McEvoy was not in a supersuit during his swim.

Sunday evening, the Enhanced Games concluded with the men’s 50 freestyle. In a full supersuit, Kristian Gkolomeev swam to a 20.81 for the fastest Enhanced 50 free. Gkolomeev is competing as an enhanced athlete and earned a $1,000,000 bonus for that swim.

McEvoy took to his Instagram story with two memes:

People have already begun questioning the validity of the timing system, with numerous viewers hand-clocking a 21.0-21.1. This video below displays the timing system to be at a 20.81 when Gkolomeev is still about a stroke away from the wall.

Cam will only swim one event at Com Games and then skip PPs. Must be hard work.

I mean that’s not all Cam. He got 1.5mil$ as well. Kristian is fine and probably will surf somewhere in Cali while his wife and 2 kids are watching and not worrying about a single thing. You go get another 30k. Congratulations!

Yeah. Sure thing. He’s taught his kids a vital lesson, hasn’t he? The best way to get ahead in life is to take drugs.

No he taught his kids that throughout hard work and dedication everything is possible. 24 year clean athlete TOP 8 50 freestyle consistently in the past 10 years on world stage. And then retires, opportunity arrives after all that hard work and now because of all this dedication he gave when he was clean he made 2.5mil$ 🙂 you people will never realise that this people are normal humans and they think just like you when you have your normal job 🙂 props to Kristian and the lessons he is teaching his kids too. Work hard and get what is yours !

Why do you cover this event?
What the author of this text (or a poet) wanted to express?

0 drugs, 0 attention, 0 entertaining, 0 education. What it stands out the most = $1m…good job swimswam, something that xyz generation / youth can look into.

This makes coaching job so much enhancing.

If Cam wear super suit, maybe we can see 19.90 in LCM?

The suit saved like maybe 0.5 over 50m, and with a modern mizuno maybe it saves 0.3 or 0.4, not a full second.

Not quite how tech suits (jammers) work. Suits don’t save time, but energy. The time save is dependent on how the swimmer figures out where to take the saved energy provided by the suit. In other words, the swimmer has to become adept to the suit’s attributes and features in order to yield real time saving results. Caeleb Dressel states it adequately: “The swimmer makes the suit.”

They increase buoyancy and thereby decrease drag. That saves time

20.2 to .4 would be a more realistic guesstimation, imho.

Here it is. The opportunity to create a rivalry showdown event that could spark a lot of viewership interest(if marketed properly). Also, a lot of opportunities to create various revenue streams for many of the other swimming events(alongside this main event).

Other than media there is no rivalry opportunity. They will never race each other Cam and the other real swimmers want nothing to do with the clown games
