Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Olivia Nordini has committed to Division II California State East Bay, flipping her commitment following the discontinuation of the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs at Concordia University, Irvine. Nordini competed for the Scottsdale Aquatic Club and attended Desert Mountain High School.
I am so incredibly excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at California State University, East Bay. I’d like to thank Coach Shane for giving me this opportunity. I’m also so beyond grateful for all the people who have supported me through everything these past couple months, specifically my family and the team at Scottsdale Aquatic Club. Everything happens for a reason.❤️ #gopioneers
The decision for CUI to cut the swimming and diving programs meant that potential recruits like Nordini had to find new destinations to continue their academic and athletic ventures. Nordini found one at Cal State East Bay.
The four-time AIA Division II State Championship finalist specializes in sprint freestyle. Nordini was a part of the Desert Mountain High School women’s team that brought home the AIA Division II state championship back in 2021.
Individually, Nordini was an AIA Division II State Championship finalist in the 50 free each of her last three years at Desert Mountain High School (4th place in 2022 in 24.95, 5th place in 2023 in 24.88, and 6th in 2024 in 24.60). Nordini also placed 6th in 2024 in the 100 free, swimming a 54.63.
Top Times SCY:
- 50 Free- 24.34
- 100 Free- 54.49
- 200 Free- 1:58.80
Nordini is going to the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference (PCSC) to join the Pioneers in Haywood, California. The Pioneers placed 2nd at the 2025 PCSC Championships out of 13 women’s teams.
Nordini’s personal bests would have ranked as the 9th fastest woman on the roster in the 50 free, while her 100 time would have placed her as the 12th fastest performer for the Pioneers last season.
Nordini is a late addition to a large women’s class for 2025. Already committed to the program are Maggie Clemens, Adalynn Ascher, Ruby Sallah, Amaya Rocheleau, Malana Kollath, Lola Woodward, Viviana Perez, and Sydney Prentice.
