RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University men’s water polo’s season opener with Concordia has been postponed after the sudden passing of Eagles freshman Ryder Wade on Friday. CBU’s prayers go out to Ryder Wade’s family and everyone at Concordia, particularly the Eagles’ water polo program in this difficult time.

A future date to make up the game has yet to be determined. Scheduling updates will be provided as more details become available.

The Lancers will now look to open the season with a doubleheader at Loyola Marymount on Jan. 23. The first game, scheduled for an 11 a.m. start, will serve as the Western Water Polo Association contest, with the second game at 3 p.m. being played as a non-conference affair.
