BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Sierra Martin (Jr., San Diego, Calif./The Bishop’s School) scored seven goals with four ejections drawn and two steals during a 4-0 weekend for the No. 21-ranked Brown University Bears on the West Coast. For her performance, Martin is named the March 27 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
A first time Player of the Week selection, Martin opened the weekend on Saturday, March 25, by aiding the Bears’ cause in a 12-11 overtime victory versus Concordia University prior to depositing a pair of tallies in a 10-9 defeat of Division III No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.
She capped off the weekend on Sunday, March 26, by notching three goals in a 15-6 win versus Division III No. 8 Whittier College prior to racking up a pair of markers in a 5-2 dispatching of No. 23 California State University-Northridge.
