Brian Fazzino Named New Coach for New Program at Franklin-Pierce

Brian Fazzino, a four year assistant collegiate coach, has been named the head coach for the Franklin Pierce Women’s Swimming, a Division II school which competes in the Northeast-10 Conference. The program will officially add swimming for the 2017-2018 season.

Previously Fazzino was the assistant swim coach at University of Bridgeport – working under head coach Sean Raffle. His experience and accomplishments at Bridgeport are worth noting. He was apart of coaching a national champion, nine individual All-Americans, six All-American relay squads, 16 NCAA Championship qualifiers and 35 conference champions. Even out of the water he had a big hand in academic success amongst his team.

During his time at Bridgeport, this last season specifically, he was the coach for the distance swimmers, both men and women.

In 2011 – 2012 season he was an assistant to Gregg Troy – head coach of University of Florida. Troy spent the 2012 Olympics in London as the men’s head swimming coach for Team USA.

This will be the first time Fazzino is a collegiate head swim coach, and it is also the first time Franklin Pierce has a head coach (or swimming program). Fazzino graduated from Norwich University in 2007 with a political science degree.

Once posted, meet schedule will be on their website.
