BOTR Butterflyer Emma Liebler Verbally Commits to Texas A&M for 2027-28

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Emma Liebler from Williamsburg, Virginia, has announced her verbal commitment to Texas A&M University beginning with the 2027-28 school year.

“As soon as I stepped on campus I knew it was my future home. The team and coaches already feel like my second family and there is no other place I’d rather study and swim!”

A junior at Jamestown High School, Liebler won the 100 fly (with a PB of 54.76) and placed 4th in the 50 free (24.23) as a freshman at the 2024 VHSL Class 4 State Championships. Her best SCY times come from fall 2024 when she competed at SRVA Commonwealth Cup and clocked a 53.80 in the 100 fly, and TAC Titans Blizzard Blitz, where she hit lifetime bests in the 50 free (23.64), 100 free (51.26), 50 back (27.11), 100 back (55.65), and 200 back (2:02.60). In the spring, she added best times in the 200 fly (1:58.37) and 200 free (1:51.86).

This summer, Liebler moved from 757 Swim to Quest Swimming. She had a big meet at Virginia Swimming LSC Long Course Championships, placing 8th in the 50 back (PB of 30.77), 24th in the 100 back, 14th in the 200 back (PB of 2:26.14), 15th in the 50 fly, 16th in the 100 fly, and 24th in the 200 fly. She then went on to compete at Summer Junior Nationals in Irvine, swimming the 100 free, 50 fly, 100 fly, and 200 fly.

We considered her a “Best of the Rest” butterflyer in our Way Too Early ranking of the top girls recruits from the high school class of 2027.

Best SCY times:

  • 100 fly – 53.80
  • 200 fly – 1:58.37
  • 50 free – 23.64
  • 100 free – 51.26
  • 200 free – 1:51.86
  • 100 back – 55.65

The Aggies have lost several swimmers over the past two years, including Miranda Grana in 2025 and Travis Gulledge, Baylor Nelson, and Jacob Wimberly in 2024. New head coach (as of the 2024-25 season) Blaire Anderson (née Bachman) is reloading and has gotten off to a quick start with the class of 2027; in addition to Liebler, Anderson has also received a verbal from Parker Knapp into the Aggies’ class of 2031.
