He helped his high school win the 2010 CIF Southern Section Division II title as well as the 2008 CIF Southern Section Division III title. UC Berkeley

At the 2013 Pac 12 Championships Ryckman went best times in the 200 backstroke and 100 backstroke. He would’ve qualified for the ‘B’ final in the 100 backstroke.

At the Pac 12 Championships, he won the ‘C’ final of the 100 backstroke.

Ryckman is in his senior year as a Cal Bear. He destroyed his best time in the 200 backstroke at the 2014 Georgia Invite.

In his high school career Ryckman won the CIF Southern Section Divison II in the 100 backstroke. In 2011 he won the 2011 Tri-County League championship in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, which earned him the honor of Tri-Valley Swimmer of the Year.
