Franziska Hentke is a German swimmer born on June 4, 1989.

2015 FINA World Championships

Hentke finished tied for fourth in the 200m butterfly.

2015 European Short Course (25M) Championships

Hentke win the 200m butterfly breaking her own National Record with a time of 2:03.01. This time made her the sixth fastest of all time.

2016 European Aquatics Championships

Hentke won the 200m butterfly (50M) beating second place finisher, Liliana Szilagyi of Hungary by 0.01 seconds.

2016 Rio Olympics

Hentke swam the 200m butterfly but finished 11th in the semifinals failing to make the championship final.

2017 FINA World Championships

Hentke finished second to Spain’s Mireia Belmonte by 0.13 seconds to win the Silver medal.

2017 SCM European Championships

Hentke grabbed the title in the 200 butterfly in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her and Italy’s Ilaria Bianchi were neck and neck throughout the race but Hentke touched the wall in 2:03.92 and beat Bianchi by 0.30 seconds.
