“Best of the Rest” IMer Aiden Moy Sends Verbal to Michigan for Fall of 2026

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Badger Swim Club’s Aiden Moy has verbally committed to the University of Michigan, joining the Wolverines’ men’s program in the fall of 2026.

Moy was featured in Swimwam’s “Best of the Rest” section in the ranking of the top 20 recruits in the class of 2026.

Moy confirmed his commitment on his Instagram, saying:

I’m excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Michigan! I’m incredibly grateful for my family, friends, and coaches, John, Jack, and Dom for their unwavering support. I’d also like to thank Coach Matt, Coach Gunner, and the entire coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity.

The Ardsley, NY, native finaled in three events at the Speedo Junior National Championships (LCM) earlier this summer. His best finish came in the 200 IM, where he turned in a 6th-place finish in 2:04.44. He also finished 19th in the 200 butterfly in 2:02.91 (marking a new lifetime best), and 27th in the 200 breaststroke in 2:19.08 (his best performance ever in the event). Moy also set a personal best in the 100 fly with his 55.90.

One of Moy’s best short-course meets came at the Senior Metro Winter Championships (SCY) in February. There, he set lifetime bests in the 50 fly (22.46), 100 fly (47.77), 100 backstroke (49.08), 200 IM (1:46.81), and 200 freestyle (1:38.72).

Moy also holds bests of 1:47.74 in the 200 fly from the NCAP Invitational last December, and 3:52.00 in the 400 IM from the Speedo Summer Premier in February.

Best Times SCY:

  • 100 Fly: 47.77
  • 200 Fly: 1:47.74
  • 100 Back: 49.08
  • 100 Breast: 55.43
  • 200 Breast: 1:59.67
  • 200 Free: 1:38.72
  • 500 Free: 4:35.39
  • 200 IM: 1:46.81
  • 400 IM: 3:52.00

The Wolverine men finished as runners-up to Indiana at the 2025 Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships. Based on Moy’s best times, he would have finished 34th in the 200 IM, 30th in the 400 IM, and 20th in the 200 fly.

Moy is about as diverse a talent as one can be. He is proficient across the board with competitive times in the IM and butterfly events. He has the versatility to potentially be a factor on future Michigan relays.

He will have the ability to be a valuable contributor in relatively every stroke for the Wolverines, but with his high-level IM production, it will be a decision to solidify that final event, if not the 200 fly.

Moy is the Badger Swim Club record holder in both the 200 and 400 IM, a club that has produced plenty of high-level stars, such as Cody Miller and Zane Grothe.

Moy joins Lucas Young and Oliver Shao in Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class.
