Arena encourages delegates to ‘engage in success’ at FINA Convention

FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation), the world governing body for the sport of Aquatics, has announced Arena as a Top Partner of the 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention, taking place 29 November-1 December 2014, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha (QAT).

Leading swimwear company, Arena, has equipped the world’s leading athletes and lovers of watersports with racing, training, and leisure swimwear for over 40 years. The development of Aquatics is very important to Arena, whose commitment to the aquatic world is reinforced through its sponsorships with 20 national swimming federations, 13 Olympic Champions and over 24 World Champions. Earlier this year, Arena also became an official partner of FINA through to 2019.

Arena is sponsoring the Convention’s official networking area. The Arena Networking Zone will provide a dedicated space within the Convention in which delegates can meet and share best practice in the development of Aquatics.

“Following our Official Partner announcement in January this year, Arena’s commitment to the World Aquatics Convention is another very important step forward in our successful relationship,” said Dr. Julio C. Maglione, FINA President. “Arena is a prestigious brand, widely recognised by athletes, coaches, national federations and clubs around the world. The partnership not only raises the image of the Convention, but through the Arena Networking Zone it also supports the event by encouraging our delegates to get together and engage for success.”

Arena has secured a booth in the event’s exhibition where its research and development experts will update delegates on latest news from the Arena Scientific Network – a network comprised of academics developing new ideas for products.

“We are delighted to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with FINA at this important event, and to help influence the growth of our sport worldwide,” said Giuseppe Musciacchio, Arena General Manager of Brand Development. “Swimming is part of the DNA at Arena, so being an important partner of the sport’s governing body is not just prestigious for us, it is imperative.”

Musciacchio added: “The opportunity to meet with federation leaders and coaches, and understand their needs along with the direction that swimming is taking worldwide, will provide us with invaluable input that we can channel into our product development cycle, with the ultimate goal of creating the optimum range of products necessary to take the sport forward. We look forward to not only learning from the Convention, but also to contributing everything to its overall success.”

Registration for the 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention closes on Monday 24 November, 23:59 (CET).
