Princeton freshman Alex Townsend won the first circle-seeded heat from lane 5, dropping 1.6 seconds off his seed time to notch a 45.19. Harvard junior Sonny Wang, who was runner-up in last year’s final, touched 2nd with 46.01. Princeton senior Lucas Tudoras was 3rd with 46.57.

Harvard junior David Schmitt was first to the wall in the next heat with 45.82, edging freshman teammate Maro Miknic (46.35) and William McClelland of Dartmouth (47.38).

Defending champion and Ivy League record-holder Nicholas Finch of Yale took the final heat in 44.49, breaking the pool record and lowering his own Ivy League, meet, and Yale program records. Princeton went 2-3 with Logan Noguchi (45.74) and Conor McKenna (46.57).

Columbia sophomore Gian Santos blasted a 3:46.47 from the outside lane to win his heat and improved his entry time by 8.7 seconds. Penn junior Peter Whittington, the runner-up at the 2025 conference meet, was 2nd with 3:46.59 ahead of Cornell junior Julian Correa (3:47.84).

Dartmouth sophomore Jacob Turner, last year’s 5th-place finisher, took heat 3 in 3:46.55 from lane 4. Princeton freshman Jack Haley touched 2nd in 3:47.66, improving his seed time by 2.7 seconds. Sophomore Erik Nadecki of Brown was 3rd with 3:49.11 (-2.7 seconds).

Top seed and defending champion Marton Nagy of Brown threw down a 3:45.50 to win the final heat with a comfortable margin over Princeton junior Arthur Balva (3:48.82) and freshman John Rusnock (3:49.27).

Men’s 200 Freestyle – Prelims

Harvard senior David Greeley and Princeton junior Parker Lenoce traded leads at the 50, 100, 150, and 200 but at the end, Greeley touched out Lenoce for the heat win, 1:33.98 to 1:34.09. Penn senior James Curreri placed 3rd from lane 7 with 1:35.43.

Sophomore Patrick Dinu of Princeton led from start to finish in the penultimate heat, clocking in at 1:32.50 ahead of Cornell senior Jacques Grove (1:34.74) and Yale junior Deny Nankov (1:34.74).

Defending champion Mitchell Schott of Princeton won the last heat with 1:31.70, coming to the wall 2 body lengths ahead of Yale sophomore Lars Kuljus (1:34.46) and Columbia senior Adam Wu (1:35.05).

Everyone is a finalist in the 100 breast, and Cornell junior Haihan Xu kicked off the heats with a 52.13 win from lane 4. Columbia junior Joshua Corn touched 2nd with 52.79 ahead of Princeton sophomore Andrew Zou (53.36) and Brown senior Jake Regenwetter (53.82).

Heat 2 went to Penn sophomore and 2025 3rd-place finisher, Watson Nguyen, in 51.96. Yale’s Alexander Hazlett went 52.63 to take 2nd ahead of Harvard sophomore Joshua Chen (53.16).

Yale sophomore Jake Wang clocked in at 52.08 to win the last heat with teammates Charlie Egeland (52.26) and Nareg Minassian (52.68) in tow.

Dartmouth freshman Andrew Chou knocked out a 46.24 to win the first circle-seeded heat ahead of Princeton junior Parker Lenoce (47.00) and Harvard junior David Schmitt (47.07). Schmitt was 3rd in last year’s final; Lenoce placed 12th.

Harvard sophomore Adriano Arioti clocked a 45.93, .7 better than his seed time, to win heat 3. Cornell senior Pietro Ubertalli (46.31), and Princeton junior Yanning Zhang (46.91) took 2nd and 3rd.

Columbia senior Isaac Beers, who came in 11th last year, took .9 off his seed time and won the final heat with 45.74, just edging Cornell junior Blake Conway (45.96). Conway was 5th in this event in 2025. Coming to the wall 3rd was Cornell sophomore Gabe Anagnoson (47.19).

Men’s 3-Meter Diving – Prelims

There will be a sea of orange on the 3-meter podium tomorrow night, as the Tigers placed all five divers into the ‘A’ final. Led by defending champion Aidan Wang, Princeton qualified Luca Fassi, Taso Callanan, Chase Sorosky – who won the 1-meter diving last night – and Luka Martinovic.

McCoy Lyman of Dartmouth led the field, scoring 397.50 points with an average score of 66.25 per round. He began with a back 2 1/2 somersault pike that scored 66.00 points and ended with a reverse 1 1/2 somersault 2 1/2 twist free worth 72.50. His highest-scoring dive (77.50) was a forward 3 1/2 somersault pike.

Columbia’s Joseph Nicol was 5th in prelims, scoring 334.70 points. Rem Turatbekov from Harvard finished 7th with 322.70.
