MIAMI, Fla. – Harvard Women’s Swimming and Diving remained unbeaten on the season Saturday morning, defeating both Florida International and Miami (Fla.). With today’s win, the Crimson improved to 4-0 overall on the season. Harvard topped Miami (4-2) by a score of 189.5–108.5 and cruised past FIU (1-5), 217–81, behind a balanced performance across swimming and diving events.
How It Happened
- The Crimson set the tone immediately, opening the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay as the team of Anya Mostek, Aliana Marakovic, Kiley Wilhelm, and Blythe Wieclawek touched first.
- Alexandra Bastone led the distance events, capturing first place in the 1,000 freestyle and later winning the 500 free, while Harvard also placed multiple swimmers in the top three of both races.
- Harvard swept the podium in the 100 breast, led by Stephanie Iannaccone, followed closely by Marakovic and Gabi Augustyn.
- In the butterfly events, the Crimson dominated again, highlighted by Hazel Mouhidin’s victory in the 200 fly and Kiley Wilhelm’s win in the 100 fly.
- Anya Mostek delivered a standout performance with victories in both the 100 back and 100 free, anchoring Harvard’s success in the sprint events.
- The Crimson went 1–2–3 in the 200 IM, paced by Carolina Daher, with Isabella Alas and Augustyn close behind.
- Harvard closed the swimming portion of the meet with a strong showing in the 400 free relay, as the A relay team secured first place.
- On the boards, Nina Janmyr led the Crimson divers with top-three finishes on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards, while Harvard placed multiple athletes among the leaders in each event.

MIAMI – The Miami Hurricanes swimming & diving team split its tri-meet with host FIU and visiting Harvard Saturday afternoon the Doral Aquatic Center.
Miami topped the host Panthers, 180-119, but fell to the Crimson, 189.50-108.50, in one of its final meets of the regular season.
Chiara Pellacani won the 1-meter (359.10) and 3-meter (330.15) diving events just ahead of teammate Margo O’Meara (356.00, 326.50), who took second on both boards, to highlight the afternoon.
Veteran Kate Sommerstad took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:28.50) to score early points for the Hurricanes, while sophomore Ashlyn Massey added a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.91).
Savannah Barr was third in the 100-yard freestyle (51.48) while Phoebe Mayo captured UM’s first individual victory in the 200-yard backstroke (2:02.53), just ahead of second-place finisher Sarah Sensenbrenner (2:02.77).
Freshman Sophie Lenze was second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.53) and Massey added points with a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (55.36).
The Hurricanes travel to Atlanta to face host Georgia Tech and visiting South Carolina on Jan. 24.

MIAMI – The FIU swimming & diving program dropped both decisions in Saturday’s tri-meet against Miami and Harvard at the Doral Aquatic Center.
The Panthers fell to crosstown rival Miami, 189–118, before dropping a 217–81 decision to the Harvard Crimson. Overall, FIU recorded 14 top-five finishes on the afternoon.
Junior Diana Santamaria led the Panthers with four top-three finishes, highlighted by a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (23.59) and a second-place showing in the 100-yard backstroke (56.68). Santamaria was also part of the 200-yard medley relay team of Oumy Diop, Tawannah McLemore, Santamaria and Frida Stretre Løbersli, which placed second with a time of 1:43.82.
FIU’s 400-yard medley relay squad of Diop, Ana Luiza Daisson, Santamaria and Pauline Zeller finished with a time of 3:29.10. Individually, Zeller added a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (55.37), while sophomore Tawannah McLemore placed third in the 50-yard freestyle (23.85).
Sally Olsson recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.45) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.86). Sophomore Claudia Frasca earned a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.79) and placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke (58.12).
In the 200-yard individual medley, Nicole Frank finished fifth with a time of 2:07.23, while junior Sianna Savarda also placed fifth in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:14.45).
On the diving boards, Kristina Keenan led the Panthers with a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter event, scoring 271.50 to earn a zone qualifying cut. Ruska Lehtonen (256.75) and Sofia Torstensson (245.25) followed in eighth and ninth, respectively.
In the 3-meter competition, Lehtonen finished sixth with a score of 263.65, while freshman Adyson Downey placed eighth (260.85) and Kristina Keenan rounded out the field in ninth (237.95).
