Anthony Rulkowski has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Georgia Tech, beginning in the fall of 2026. He confirmed his commitment on SwimCloud and Instagram, writing:
I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Georgia Tech! I’m very grateful for my family, coaches, teammates, and friends that got me here with their endless support. I would also like to give a special thanks to the Georgia Tech swimming coaching staff for giving me this incredible opportunity! Above all I would like to thank God for guiding me throughout this journey. I’m excited to see what the future holds! GO YELLOW JACKETS!!

Rulkowski hails from Deer Park, Illinois, where he swims year-round with the Palatine Park District. He specializes in butterfly and IM, with his primary events being the 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 IM.
He’s a great pickup for the Yellow Jackets, as he’s consistently dropped time each season throughout his career. Over the past year alone, he’s dropped over two seconds in the 100 fly (50.30 to 48.18), five seconds in the 200 fly (1:55.41 to 1:50.40), and nearly six seconds in the 200 IM (1:56.34 to 1:50.73).
Rulkowski most recently competed at the Winter Junior Championships, his first time qualifying for the meet, where he placed 22nd in the 100 fly, 55th in the 200 fly, and 58th in the 200 IM, all with his current lifetime bests.
The Georgia Tech men finished 9th out of 15 teams at the 2025 ACC Championships with 465 points, led by diver Max Fowler‘s 72 individual points. The team is in its second season led by head coach John Ames.
At the 2025 ACC meet, times of 46.21 and 1:44.27 were needed to score in the fly events, while 1:44.70 was required in the 200 IM.
On the team’s 2024-25 depth chart, he would have ranked seventh in both 200s and eighth in the 100 fly. With another year to improve and several upperclassmen graduating, he’ll provide immediate help in dual meets. He could be a key factor on the Yellow Jackets’ ACC roster down the line if his massive time drops continue.
Rulkowski joins a recruiting class that includes two other publicized recruits, both breaststrokers: Christopher Koch and Kerem Ilyem.
