At the 2025 ASCA World Clinic in Reno, SwimSwam spoke with CEO Jenn LaMont, who has continued to make the event a premier destination for swim coaches. Incorporating round table discussions, relevant topics in today’s sport, and interactive endless pool demonstrations, LaMont has been intentional about gathering feedback from coaches and implementing it into an event that coaches will not only learn from, but want to come back to.

There was a lengthy post/thread about this on the Swim Coaches Idea Exchange on Facebook last year. From what I remember, the feedback consisted of:
*Bad time chosen to hold the clinic when many have families just starting back to school/work full time jobs outside of swimming.
*Topics geared towards mostly larger scale clubs.
*Cost to attend
*No streaming options
*Geared towards mainly club coaches.
Looking at this years clinic, it doesn’t seem as if anything has changed. Better options with same quality speakers out there at significantly lower cost.
Yup, sent coaches there in the past and I’d agree. Remember ASCA is a SS sponsor – this article is just an ad.
If it was streamed nobody would go.
