Chipotle has teamed up with Ohio State University, the University of Florida, and the University of Georgia to give all student-athletes free meals during their season.
The Mexican fast food chain will be giving all student-athletes at these three schools, walk-on and scholarship, a customized card that will give them one free entrée per week for 15 weeks during their NCAA season.
Last year, Chipotle debuted the program at Ohio State and they have expanded this season. According to a survey last year, Chipotle states that these three universities are in the top 30 schools that eat the most Chipotle.
They found that 98% of Ohio State student-athletes eat at the restaurant at least once a month, 94% of student-athletes at the University of Florida consider Chipotle one of their top three favorite restaurants, and almost 80% of athletes at Georgia consider it to be an important part of their training regimen.
Chief Brand Officer Chris Brandt said “Our restaurants near each of these universities are frequently filled with student-athletes looking for a quick and nutritious meal that can help them thrive in the classroom and on the field. By expanding our college card program to three universities this academic year, we’re democratizing NIL for nearly 2,000 student-athletes and increasing their access to real food when they need it the most.”
Ohio State, Georgia, and Florida were all in the top 20 swimming and diving programs last season on both the men’s and women’s sides.
Florida earned the highest NCAA finishes of all three schools with the men’s team coming in 4th at 315 points and the women’s team finishing 6th with 232 points.
The Ohio State women had the most successful conference meet of all six teams, finishing as the Big Ten Champions last year.

15 free burritos? Hmm… yeah, I would have changed my school affiliation for that.
Need Cabo Bob’s to step up for men’s S&D in Austin.
I just don’t see the appeal. Never been to Cabo Bob’s restaurant just had the catering.
Can I get a go dawgs
Sounds like an interesting idea. Had Chipotle before a meet once, never again
Taco, burrito, what’s that in your speedo?
After I graduated from university, I did the burrito challenge where I ate 20(?) burritos within a month, and got $250(?) in credits from Chipotle. I pooled that together with another alum who also completed the challenge and we gifted the then current team a catered chipotle meal during winter training.
Love a good burrito!
Will El Chilito step up in Austin
