Men’s 400 IM
A new NBAC star seems to be emerging out of Michael Phelps’ shadow with the likes of Chase Kalisz. Kalisz dominated the 400 IM tonight with a meet record time of 4:15.66 which was almost eight seconds faster than second place finisher Ryan Harty.
We all know who he trianed with : BOB BOWMAN ! The tradition of great IMers is not gonna fade soon in The Usa ….Ohhh No . In Barcelona , the races are gonna be very interesting with Tyler Clary and the japanese guys .

Clearly a very good win by Kalisz. The report somehow unintentionally underplays Ryan Harty’s second place. It may have been 8s behind Kalisz, but it was a 5s PB, and Ryan is still 16. A very very good swim by him too.
