Emma Brady, who swims with the Bend Swim Club in Bend, Oregon, has signed an NLI to swim for Boise State University. She will join Delaney Phillips in the Broncos’ class of 2023.
“I am beyond excited to study and swim at Boise State for the next 4 years. I felt at home right away and can’t wait to be a prat of the team. Go Broncos!”
Brady is a two-time OSAA 5A state champion, having won the 100 fly (57.45) as a sophomore in 2017 and the 200 free (1:54.36) as a junior in 2018. She was also runner-up in the 50 free (24.34) in 2017 and took third in the 100 free (53.31) last season.
In club swimming, Brady had a strong LCM season last summer, culminating in a number of finals appearances at Western Zone Senior Long Course Championships and best times in the 50 free (27.71), 100 free (58.67), and 400 free (4:31.54). She also earned lifetime bests in the 200 free, 500 free, and 200 fly at Four Corners Sectionals.
Boise State won the 2018 Mountain West Conference title by less than 100 points. Brady would have added points to the Broncos’ tally in the 100 fly (C final), and would have been very close to scoring in the 100 free and 200 free.
