In the final of the women’s 100 fly in Glasgow, it was the home countrywoman Keanna MacInnes securing a silver medal for her home nation of Scotland in new national record fashion, clocking 57.33.
MacInnes touched just under a second slower than gold-medalist Alex Perkins in 56.38, but did just undercut her own national record of 57.57 from the Aquatics GB Championships in April.

MacInnes was not the only Scottish swimmer to find success in the final, as her fellow Scottish teammates Ciara Schlosshan and Lucy Grieve each managed to swim their own lifetime bests in the Commonwealth Games final.
The three Scottish women actually finished 1-2-3 at the Aquatics GB Championships, where MacInnes set the Scottish record in 57.57, Schlosshan was runner-up in 58.41, and Grieve rounded out the podium in 3rd in 58.56.
Schlosshan finished 5th in 57.58, entering this meet, her best time came at the 2026 BUCS Championships from February in 58.00, making this her 2nd sub 58-second swim of the meet, after touching in 57.70 in the semifinals yesterday. As for Grieve, she came into the meet with a lifetime best of 58.09 from the 2025 Aquatics GB Championships, in the semis, Grieve touched in 58.17 to earn her spot in this final.
