Versatile middle-distance specialist KK Sullivan has announced her verbal commitment to swim and study at The College of William & Mary beginning in the fall of 2027. She publicized the news on SwimCloud, writing:
I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the College of Willam and Mary!! I am so grateful for the support from my family, friends, and teammates. I want to especially thank Coach Nate, Coach Mike, and Coach Caleb for this amazing opportunity. As well as a special thank you to Coach Rob and all my Naval Academy Aquatic Club coaches for supporting me, and my teammates for pushing me throughout my career. Lastly a major shoutout to my parents and brothers who have been a constant support every step of the way!! GO TRIBE!
A rising senior at Severna Park High School, the Maryland native competes year-round with the Naval Academy Aquatic Club and primarily specializes in butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle.
Sullivan is coming off a 2025-26 season that saw her make massive improvements across the board, dropping about nine seconds in the 200 back, three seconds in the 200 fly and 200 free, over two seconds in both the 100 free and 100 back, and a full second in the 100 fly.
She set the majority of her personal bests at the East Coast Winterfest in December, where she clocked times of 51.76/1:51.88 in the 100/200 free, 57.07/2:03.12 in the 100/200 back, and 55.71 in the 100 fly. She also swam a lifetime best of 2:05.55 in the 200 fly at the ISCA Classic in January.

A Division I Mid-Major program, William & Mary competes in the Coastal Athletic Association, with the women’s team winning the conference title this past season. Sullivan’s current career bests would have qualified her for the ‘B’ final in the 100 fly, 200 free, 200 back, and 200 fly, and the ‘C’ final in the 100 back and 100 free, setting her up to be an immediate contributor with two full seasons of training ahead before her first conference meet.
Sullivan joins Alison Stalfort, Grace Higdon, Caroline Linkous, and Maggie O’Hara in committing to William & Mary’s class of 2031 so far.
