The newest member of the swimming YouTube vloggers is American Olympian Carson Foster.

He posted his first video earlier today, titled “MY FIRST VIDEO | How I raced the 800m Freestyle”. In the vlog, he talks about his day leading up to his 800 freestyle race at the recent Longhorn Elite Invite.

In that race, he set a lifetime best time of 7:52.00 to win the event, taking more than three seconds off his previous best of 7:55.51, which he swam at the U.S. Open in December.

Foster talked about his decision to start the channel, saying “I have been wanting to be able to share my life more with people over social media to show people what it’s like to be a professional swimmer, specifically in the Texas pro group and on Team USA.”

The Texas pro group is one of the most famous pro groups in the world of swimming right now with world record holders Leon Marchand and Summer McIntosh headlining the roster.

His channel already has 21.4k subscribers, which is partially due to the fact that he is sharing the page with his dad, who has been posting videos of him and his brother, former Texas swimmer Jake Foster, since 2014. He said that his dad would continue to post his race videos on the page, with his new vlogs.

Foster joins a growing number of swimmers who have begun YouTube channels in recent years, including current Texas freshman Campbell McKean, who gave him a shoutout in his recent video and briefly appeared in the vlog.

Other notable swimmers who run YouTube channels are former U.S. Olympian Cody Miller, Irish twins Daniel Wiffen and Nathan Wiffen, and, briefly, Caeleb Dressel, though he hasn’t posted in more than a year.

Foster’s vlog featured appearances from fellow Texas pro swimmers Chris Guiliano and Jack Kelly as well as Foster’s golden retriever, Gus.

Swimswam, who is the best overall add-up swimmer? I’m talking every even on the Olympic program, added up. Foster has to be one that comes to mind.
