2026 PSS — Sacramento: Luca Urlando Scratches Last Event (Day 4 Prelims Scratches)

2026 Sacramento Pro Swim Series

It is almost time for the last prelims session of the 2026 Pro Swim Series in Sacramento, and World Champion Luca Urlando had officially scratched his his only remaining event of the meet, the men’s 50 fly. He was the 9th seed in the event.

This isn’t a surprise after he scratched all his events over the other three days, but it means swimming fans will need to wait a little longer to see him return to competition after a “minor injury” forced him to withdraw from the NCAA Championships in March.

The other scratches were also expected for the most part, with most athletes scratching events earlier in the meet as well including Claire Weinstein, who scratched her 3rd seed in the 100 freestyle after she announced on TikTok earlier this week she would not be swimming due to a migraine that put her in the Emergency Room.

Really hope he can get healthy. Hopefully it’s not a dislocated shoulder again

I don’t think it’s a physical injury
