Day three of the 2026 Swiss Long Course Championships was on the subdued side, with nothing crazy happening in the men’s and women’s races.
Olympic medalist Roman Mityukov indeed took the men’s 200m back, but his time of 1:55.36 was well outside the 1:54.83 national record he put on the books at last year’s World Championships.
Mityukov still beat the field handily tonight, with the next-closest competitor represented by Flavio Bucca who touched in 1:57.48 as the only other swimmer to delve unter the 2:00 barrier.
Leon Opatril rounded out the podium well behind in 2:04.59.
Mityukov now cchecks in as the 3rd-fastest man on the planet at the moment.
