7th Down Syndrome World Championships to Be Held in Morelia, Mexico

The 7th Down Syndrome International Meet & World Championship combined event will be held from November 7th-15th, 2014 in Morelia, Mexico in a short course meters pool.

The meet, which is administered by the DSISO, and the time standards are below. Qualifying standards have to have been achieved after June 1st, 2013. The last event took place in November of 2012 in Loano, Italy with a new record-high of 209 participating athletes from 22 countries.

Among the stars expected at the meet include 21-year old Canadian Michael Qing – who according to the DSISO is the official World Record holder in every single long course event they offer (17 events in total).

The meet will feature both pool swimming and synchronized swimming.
