Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Emily Wolf, a junior at Fishers High School in Fishers, Indiana, has made a verbal commitment to swim and study at North Carolina State University in the class of 2031.
“I’m so excited and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at NC State University. I want to give the biggest thank you to Coach Keller, Coach Alec, my teammates, friends and family for always supporting me and pushing me to be the best version of myself. I also want to give a HUGE thanks to Coach Braden, Coach Stef, Coach Josh and the whole NC State coaching staff for this incredible opportunity. I cannot wait to be part of this amazing team. GO PACK!!!🐺🐺🐺”
Wolf does her club swimming with Fishers Area Swimming Tigers and specializes mainly in butterfly. With the 3rd-fastest 100 and 200 times in the cohort, we ranked her #7 on our Way Too Early list of top girls swimming recruits in the high school class of 2027.
That gives the Pack two top-10 recruits for 2027-28; they had already received a verbal commitment from #9 Carly Afanasewicz.
As a sophomore at last year’s Indiana High School State Championships, Wolf won the 500 free (4:46.47) and was runner-up in the 100 fly (53.61). She had hit lifetime bests in both those events the week before at the sectional meet, going 4:43.89 and 52.66, respectively.
Two months earlier, she had kicked off the short-course season with PBs in the 500 free (4:47.61) and 200 fly (1:57.43) at Winter Juniors East, where she placed 8th in the 500, 20th in the 100 fly, and 4th in the 200 fly. At the end of March, she added a PB in the 200 free (1:49.00) at SwimStrong Dyland National Championship.
Wolf had a successful 2025 long-course season, beginning with PBs in the 100 free (58.10) and 200 back (2:17.61) at Indy Sectionals and ending with a new lifetime best in the 200 fly (2:12.31) at Summer Junior Nationals. In between, she hit best times in the 400 free (4:18.06) and 50 fly (27.95) at U.S. Nationals and the 200 free (2:02.04), 800 free (8:52.81), and 1500 free (17:16.58) at Columbus Sectionals. At Summer Juniors, she was an ‘A’ finalist in the 200 free (6th) and 200 fly (5th) and a ‘B’ finalist in the 400 free (11th) and 100 fly (16th).
Best SCY times:
- 200 fly – 1:57.43
- 100 fly – 52.66
- 500 free – 4:43.89
- 200 free – 1:49.00
- 100 free – 51.24
- 100 back – 54.91
- 1650 free – 16:45.78
Wolf’s best times would already score for NC State at the conference level; she would have made the’B’ finals in the 500 free and 200 fly and the ‘C’ final in the 100 fly at 2025 ACC Championships.

Wow what a stacked class for nc state! Wonder what swayed Emily given their lack of recent success on the women’s team with her best events?
Pealez and Shackley last year. Arens the year before. Arens and Alons the year before that. Multiple A and B finalists in that group. Fly hasn’t been to bad at NCSU.
500 free and 200 fly seem like her best events not sprint fly. But regardless it’s great she’s found a good culture fit. ♥️
There has been a pipeline from Fishers to NC state lately!
Congrats Emily!!
Go Pack!
Boom! Keep it rolling! 🐺🔥🐺
Congrats
