Brown University butterflier Tommy Glenn has scratched out of the 2014 Men’s NCAA Championship meet, according to updated psych sheets released this weekend.

Glenn, a senior, has won three-straight Ivy League titles in the 100 and 200 butterfly events, and is the Ivy League Championship Record holder in the 200 yard distance.

Glenn was seeded as the 8th seed in the 200 fly, the 12th seed in the 100 fly, and 54th in the 200 free. He just missed scoring at last year’s NCAA Championship meet with a 46.72 in the 100 fly for 17th place, though he was seeded even faster last year than he was this year.

In exchange, the first alternate Eric Bruck from Kentucky has been called up to swim individually, in addition to his relay swims, thanks to his 19.47 in the 50 free. That is the only individual event that Bruck is entered in for the meet.

In the event of another scratch between now and Thursday, Louisville’s Pedro Coutinho would be the next swimmer called-up. This will be Bruck’s third appearance at the NCAA Championships; he previously competed twice for Clemson before they cut their program after the 2011-2012 season.
