After breaking the Scottish national record in the 200 backstroke on Friday Kathleen Dawson returned to the pool to set another national record in the 50 backstroke. Dawson took the event at the British Summer Championships in a time of 28.20 breaking the record of 28.47, which she shared with Lucy Hope.

Holly Hibbott, who came second in the women’s 400 freestyle at the European Junior Championships , took the event in 17-18 year age group in a time of 4:09.91.
