Washington HS State Champion Bublitz Verbally Commits to Minnesota

Freestyler Chase Bublitz from Washington has verbally committed to Minnesota.

He swims scholastically for Kentridge High School, and extracurricularly for the Chinook Aquatic Club, in Washington state.

Bublitz is a monster of a sprint freestyler, with best times of 20.72/44.89/1:38.84 in the 50-200 yard races. He’s also been 48.49 in the 100 yard fly. After Big Ten champion Derek Toomey, and favorite for this season Kyler Van Swol, graduate following the 2013-2014 season, the Gophers look significantly thinner in the sprint frees.

Of course, with the way that freshman Daryl Turner opened up his freshman year with the Gophers, the new nucleus for the Minnesota men looks to be in great shape.

Bublitz is the defending Washington 4A State Champion (big schools) in both the 100 and 200 freestyles.
